OUR MISSION
To improve and maintain Lake Eau Galle by enhancing its water quality, its fisheries and other wildlife habitats, and its recreational activities for today and future generations.
Lake Eau Galle needs your help… The overall health of the lake has been declining for years. The average depth of the lake has steadily decreased because of significant sediment issues. As a result of the constant sediment buildup, the lake’s size/acreage has decreased with its northern end overtaken by built-up wetlands. In addition, because of the lake’s shallow depths, weeds annually become a significant problem for recreational boating. Invasive weeds have been identified and the overall water quality has decreased.
Approximately a third of the lake is no longer usable for recreational boating.
OUR LAKE DUTY
Whether you live on the lake, fish, duck hunt, enjoy skiing or recreational boating, or just like the beautiful sunsets on the lake, we need your help to preserve Lake Eau Galle. Each year, weeds and sedimentation are drastically impacting the lake's overall health.
